Vulkan means exactly what you think. Ina Wihler's vines grow on the Kaiserstuhl, an extinct volcano whose dark weathered soils store heat and give the wines their mineral spine. The family vineyards have been tended by its women for generations; Ina farms them organically with biodynamic practices, lets the Chardonnay ferment on its own wild yeasts and raises it in oak barrels.

Stony, taut and quietly rich: barrel-aged Chardonnay that stays elegant and mineral instead of going buttery.
