Côte de Korb sounds like Burgundy and winks at it too: Korb is a village in the Remstal, where Nick Pratt, Californian ex-sommelier and DJ turned winemaker, farms small parcels on sandstone and marl. This red blends Lemberger with Helios for something the region has never quite seen before. First vintages, tiny quantities, big intentions.

Dark-fruited but fresh, with proper pull. Only a handful of bottles made it here.

Drink with: grilled meat, hard cheese, or a long table.
