The easy-going entry into Ina Wihler's world. Ina farms 2.5 hectares on the Kaiserstuhl, an extinct volcano in Baden, Germany's warmest wine region. The vineyards have been tended by the women of her family for generations, and since taking over from her grandmother she's pushed things firmly natural: organic and biodynamic farming, spontaneous fermentation, minimal everything. The grape is Cabernet Blanc, a modern fungus-resistant crossing that suits her way of working perfectly.

Sunny and fresh at the same time, the way Baden whites should be. House white material, in the best sense.

Drink with: weeknight pasta, green salads, or the last hour of daylight.
