Ina Wihler | Blanc des Blancs Sekt 2024

Sparkling from the volcano. Ina Wihler grows her grapes on the slopes of the Kaiserstuhl, which soaks up more sun than almost anywhere else in German wine. This blanc des blancs is pure Chardonnay, refermented in the bottle for fine, persistent bubbles, made with the same low-intervention approach as her still wines.

Crisp, toasty, celebratory without the champagne invoice. Only a small batch made it to Amsterdam.

Drink with: oysters, fried things, birthdays real or invented.
