The newest vintage of Niklas Rückrich's Pinot Noir, from organically farmed parcels on the volcanic porphyry plateau of Eckelsheim. Niklas is the fourth generation here and one of the most promising young winemakers in Germany: hand harvest, spontaneous fermentation, patient ageing in used oak and next to nothing added on the way to the bottle.

Fine-boned and mineral with crunchy red fruit. Young now, even better with an hour of air.

Drink with: roast lamb, beetroot, or your best glasses.
