Lesom | Niveau 2023

The entry point into Lesom, the two-person project of Jessika Reis and Philipp Musevi in Traben-Trarbach. They farm 1.3 hectares of steep blue slate spread across twenty kilometres of Mosel valley, biodynamically and entirely by hand, because machines simply don't survive slopes like these. The Riesling ferments spontaneously in old 1000-litre Fuder barrels and goes into the bottle with next to nothing added.

Bright, zippy, mineral. What Mosel Riesling tastes like when nobody gets in its way.
